So, When Do I Choose Coretec?

Choose Coretec (or a premium brand with similar specs) when:
- You have a high-traffic commercial space (schools, retail, offices). The thicker wear layer and better warranty are worth the premium.
- Subfloor conditions are questionable. The integrated underlayment and rigid core save you on prep costs.
- You need a guaranteed timeline. Faster install and reliable click-lock mean fewer delays.
- The client is brand-conscious. Specifying Coretec can be a selling point.
Choose a budget/mid-tier competitor when:
- It's a short-term project (rental property, temporary space) where durability isn't the top priority.
- You have a perfect subfloor and can do a lot of the prep in-house.
- The budget is extremely tight and you can manage the risk of a potential issue (and have a good relationship with the vendor for a quick fix).
Bottom line: If I am building a relationship with a client who will be in this space for 10+ years, I almost always lean towards a premium product like Coretec. The piece of mind—and the avoidance of a 10pm phone call about a seam failure—is worth the extra cost. But if I'm bidding a one-off warehouse floor where the only priority is price, I'll go with a budget option and document the hell out of the limitations.
There's something satisfying about a perfectly executed cost-benefit analysis. After all the spreadsheets and vendor calls, getting to a decision that literally saves our client money and avoids a headache? That's the payoff.
